Non-formal education is one of the most important tools for spreading literacy and employable skills for people and covering a much larger audience than the formal system. The Philippines NFE is designed to help young people outside the school and adults who are deprived of formal education. There are different reasons for this. This could include the economic, social and geographical constraints that hindered literacy and applicable skills.

The main goal of NFE in the Philippines is to reduce the number of illiterate people in the country and provide them with needs-based literacy programs and develop core competencies. Activities such as vocational training, adult reading classes, family planning sessions, and leadership workshops are community leaders

This method has a three-dimensional approach that focuses on literacy, further training and staff development.

Learning for Cultural Communities Project: The target group of the program is part of the society that is unable to participate in the formal education system. This may include cultural communities and mountain ranges in particular,
Developing literacy measures: The non-formal education office in the Philippines is the iteration parameters through a series of seminars and workshops.
