The upturn in the IT sector and infrastructure in India accelerated the demand for engineers. While there are dozens of engineering colleges in the country, Indian technology institutes are the best. Every Indian who wants to be an engineer dreams of joining IITs.
At the beginning of 2009, 7 own IITs work in their own campus. IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee. Currently, six IITs operate at temporary universities because they started operating in 2008. IIT Bhubaneswar, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Patna, IIT Punjab and IIT Rajasthan. These six IITs are currently undergoing mentoring for older IITs and operate at universities
Unlike other engineering colleges, IITs do not need to associate with a university to secure degrees. This is because every institution is considered an independent university.
The IITs receive college and master courses. They are also research institutions. At the level of undergraduate level, all students at B.Sc. degree. The grade-specific nomenclature depends on the engineering flow chosen by the students
All IITs are known for their well-known engineering processes. In general, students choose computer, electronics, mechanical engineering, aviation and civil engineering. While the courses of the first year are common to all students, the second year the courses are determined on the basis of the chosen engineering data stream.
IITs also offer an integrated degree in engineering. The Master of Business Administration course is also offered in conjunction with the Master of Science. The level of research, the philosophical doctorate, is also offered by the IIT
Entry into all IITs is done through a centralized entry system. The procedure for admission to IITs is a common entrance examination. Every year, an average of 600,000 students write JEE. Of these elite institutions, only 5500 students are selected. In order to appear on the JEE, the applicant had to provide 60% protection at 10 + 2 with scientific subjects. The minimum percentage required for a reserved category is 55%. The test cannot be taken more than twice and the maximum age is 25 years (30 years for reserved categories).
Students enrolled in postgraduate training are organized through course-specific admission tests. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) will be held at M. Tech courses. M. Sc. JAM (joint entry into M.Sc.) is organized while access to management programs is through JMET.
Job Search Prospects:
The highest engineering colleges in the country, the IIT, is a workplace guarantee in itself. The majority of students get jobs at university. Students receive many international job opportunities with US based companies, one of the largest tenants of IIT.
IITs are institutions where the best teachers use the best resources to teach India's best students.
